So tired today...was half awake during band practice..had sectionals den combine at the gymnasium..which also means shifting of instruments..yea..I helped those percussions to shift their instruments back...pretty tired..didn't know the turbulence chime weigh much more den I thought..haha..den today mr ong appointed only 3 clarinets to play the first part..and one of dem was me..omg..I hope I didn't screw up the whole thingy..lolz..k la..enuf of band..haha..this morning sort of chatted with ping..lolz..quite funny..hahaha..she is truly an apple..red cheeks..haha..! Erm..i can't get enough of band so im gonna continue with it..lol..hmm...I listened to a clip by JVS band..you know the song piece singapore rhapsody..after I listened carefully..they r actually better den us...I assumed..now I know what is deemed 'quality'. Anyway..it's not long before the competition..hai..dere r still people who don't memorize the score...how to get a silver..hai..den today fall in..so frustrating..redo and redo everything..and mdm khong said...this year we don't have any lunch-time concert cos we are lousy..she doesn't want to lose face..while i don't find any reason which show that we are lousy..we need a lot of practice for our SYF..felt a bit discouraged for wad she said..den today sectionals was until 4pm..but i ended mine at around 3.40pm..den I started to play myself...cos I let my clarinets rest..den..while i was playing..I saw ms lim..den I recalled..hai..sian haven draw 8 drawings..and I wondered..when will I ever finish my folio..den I took my mind of it..and started to play "Adagio for Anouk" with bernice..sort of a duet thingy...sounded nice..! There's a fact that all band members of the concert band must know..that is..we require a great deal of time to be spent on band...and most importantly..our studies. We might be able to get a silver medal..let's not give up..many of us find band a hassle..but if we get a silver award..we feel good that we brought glory to the school...should we receive only a COP..I think we have tried our best..though dere is no affirmation that we will definitely bring glory to the sch but I believe that as long as we face it with an open-mind..we are fine..it is not the destination that matters..it is the journey..wad we learned..and how we faced criticisms from other CCAs..though we may be biased to other CCAs..band is an expensive group..dere is indeed such a neccesity for us to have a whole lot of cash to be spent on us..should the in-charged teacher not be biased..den..I think she should not be in-charged of band in the first place. Sometimes..we must understand the fact that mdm khong plays the bad role to get us the best..she has never deprived us of anything..she has never allowed us to lose face..I think we owe a lot to her..so let's not be so grouchy and do wadever we can for this competition..if we failed...we are not failures..we merely found 10000 ways that won't work..
